In the quaint town of Inyokern, California, home to just 857 residents, a heartwarming tradition has been steadily gaining momentum: the Classic Burgers Classic Car Show. Each March, this beloved event brings together car enthusiasts, community members, and volunteers for a day of classic cars, delicious food, and a shared mission—to support the Ridgecrest Animal Shelter.
1st Annual Classic Burgers Car Show, March 23rd, 2019
A Brief History
The journey of the Classic Burgers Classic Car Show began on March 23, 2019, when the inaugural event raised $1,277 for the local animal shelter. Unfortunately, the event was paused in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it made a triumphant return on March 12, 2022, raising $2,510. The momentum continued with the third show on March 11, 2023, which saw an impressive $4,895 raised. The fourth annual event, held on March 16, 2024, shattered previous records, bringing in a remarkable $6,250.
A Day of Fun and Philanthropy
The car show promises a day filled with activities for all ages. Attendees can look forward to awards, raffles, giveaways, vendors, and the thrilling sight and sound of cackle cars. Every aspect of the event is powered by volunteers, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to the animal shelter.
Looking Ahead to 2025
The 5th Annual Classic Burgers Classic Car Show is set for March 15, 2025, and the community's excitement is palpable. Last year, over 200 cars from as far away as Ventura participated, and organizers are hoping to surpass that number this year. With each passing year, the event not only grows in size but also in its impact on the Ridgecrest Animal Shelter.
